Maha Shivaratri with Swami Sai Premananda

Maha Shivaratri with Swami Sai Premananda

“Shiva is only Consciousness. He simply sits there completely still and silent, just breathing out truth to the universe; just breathing out truth—that is all. And when people sincerely seek the truth, the Shiva aspect takes birth as the Guru to teach and help these seekers attain the truth. This is why all Gurus are one: All Masters only come from Shiva. Shiva is the immortal Guru-principle.”

-Swami Sai Premananda

Maha Shivratri occurs on the fourteenth day after the full moon when the moon, representative of the human mind, is barely seen in the sky. On this night, the conquest of the mind is said to be easiest for the aspirant. The next day heralds the new moon or the complete eclipse of the mind due to the devoted remembrance and celebration of Lord Shiva during this auspicious time.

All are invited to come, sing and chant with Swami Sai Premananda, as we celebrate Maha Shivratri - a powerful night of dedication to Lord Shiva.

Program:
- Bhajans
- Recitation of the Shiva Mahimna with abhishekam to a 5 foot Shiva Lingam
- Continuous chanting of the mantra “Om Namah Shivaya”

Satsang with Swami Sai Premananda

Satsang with Swami Sai Premananda

In Sanskrit, “sat-sang” translates to “reality-being” or being in the presence of the Master. Satsang frees one from all delusion, the plays and doubts of the mind, and is thus praised by the ancient sages as granting ultimate liberation.

Out of his boundless compassion, the Master extends the divine communion which he always enjoys to an external manifestation for all to revel in; he creates the fertile environment for all to access the peace, joy, and bliss within.

During Swamiji’s satsangs, group singers lead devotees in ecstatic singing and chanting dedicated to God. Swamiji shares precious truths which ignite the awareness of listeners and grant them the courage, inspiration, and solace to advance in the inward journey.

We welcome all to come and join in these vibrant, purifying, and healing gatherings in the presence of Guru Maharaj Swami Sai Premananda. Read more »
