A 4 Week Course in Mindful Living with Sean Park

1 - 330 PM

$120 (pre-register, limited enrollment)

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the natural capacity for becoming aware of what is happening in our lives. Becoming mindful of our bodies, thoughts, and feelings allows us to cultivate clarity into how to heal and transform our mind, body and relationships. Through practices that develop this capacity, we can gain direct insight into both how stress and suffering manifest in our lives and how to bring about balance and peace of mind no matter what our circumstance.

What To Expect?
This four week introduction to mindfulness meditation draws from a range of theories and practices, East and West. Equal attention is given to practice and discussion with an emphasis on challenging us to integrate 'being' with 'doing'. Various practices focusing on breathing, sensations, feelings, thoughts, images, movement, texts, dialogue, relationships and day-to-day experiences will be used to cultivate insight, happiness, and well-being within ourselves and others. The small group format is a wonderful way to share and learn from the experiences, challenges, and rewards of living mindfully.

Where?
All classes are held at SpiritWind Internal Arts located at 64 Oxford Street at Augusta in the heart of Kensington Market. The studio is located up the stairs above Urban Herbivore.
