Protection from Fear - Day Course on going for refuge to Buddha, Dharma and Sangha

Buddhist refuge day course and refuge vow ceremony with KMCC Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Thekchen. March 20th from 10am - 5:30pm. Gen Thekchen will offer an explanation of how to go for refuge to Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. He will explain how to generate the two main causes of refuge: fear of the sufferings of samsara, and faith in the 3 Jewels. At the end of the day course, Gen Thekchen will offer, for those who wish, a refuge ceremony where we take our refuge vows and become a Buddhist.

Buddhism Study Course

This foundational course exploring the Buddhist world view focuses on the basic components of Buddhist philosophy: the Four Nobel Truths, interdependence, karma and our perceptual and conceptual mind. The course provides foundational knowledge of Buddhist philosophy of mind and meditation. It is the first course in the Nalandabodhi Study CUrriculum, a comprehensive series of Buddhist studies designed for the western mind, but rooted in traditional teachings. The full curriculum includes Hinayana View, Hinayana Path, Mahayana View and Mahayana Path.

Mindfulness in Daily Life Retreat
