The purpose of Look Again is to help people wake up. The group was founded in 2004 by Franca Leeson.
“Waking up isn’t about getting somewhere, or becoming something that we are not. We are already awake — it’s just covered over with notions of who we are, who we should be, and how everything else should be. Meditation practice helps us observe, work with, and ultimately let go of delusions that block our experience of life.†–Franca Leeson

Biography
Franca Leeson has been teaching Buddhist meditation in meditation centres, community centres, and in private sessions since 2000. She began studying Buddhist meditation in the early 1980s, and took refuge in 1981 with Chje Lama Namse Rinpoche in Toronto. Since then she has received teachings and initiations from several very senior Tibetan teachers, including Kalu Rinpoche, Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, Thrangu Rinpoche, Ponlop Rinpoche, and others. She also had the benefit of the teaching and encouragement of three outstanding western teachers in the Tibetan tradition: Catherine Rathbun, Ruth Gilbert, and Ken McLeod.

DEAR FRANCA,
Your web-site, what you offer sounds just what i need. I am looking for a sitting meditation group, based on mindfulness , insight, also with a Dharma talk and the opportunity to ask questions concerning the topic/your practice.
I have complete Dr.Jon Kabit-Zinns course/twice/also completed the course to teach it. I have been on a sabatical for a few years now, due to cancer, and other illness’s, depression has now been my best friend, along with the big doubt, and what’s the point? I have not practiced formally for a year now, which is beginning to scare me, and wish to find a sitting group that is kind, offers support as well. Kindly let me know the days, how long, and the outline of the evening. Again, i thank you in advance, Janine Symington

Hi Janine,
I may be starting new classes for all levels in January in the Yonge-Bloor area, and/or in the West End in April or May, but haven’t made up my mind yet. I also do private classes. If you’d like to keep in touch, go to my website and add your email address to the contact list. When I send out an email in the next few weeks announcing classes you’ll get one.
Another suggestion: a friend of mine, Ross Gray, is offering a class on Thursday evenings in January. He doesn’t have a website but if you send me your email address (through my website) I can send you one of his flyers.
Hope this is helpful!

Dear Franca,
It is me again, I did just write a lovely email to you, however, my finger somehow slipped, and hit delete…go figure? iT has been some time since I have sat my Butt down, and just Sat…and Meditated. I have been in the big Doubt for some time now, due to serious illness, dark place and depression to name a few. I do have years of Mindfulness Practice, and I have also taught the class, under Dr. Jon Kabit-Zinns direction, yet, the last year or so, i have moved away to somewhere, like the “Delete” button.
My question to you France, besides, the fact that i keep returning to your Web Site, and your video, which seems to hit my Heart, and actually, for the first time Franca, in a very, very long time, felt some wetness in my eyes…I thank you France from the bottom of my heart, it has been so long, and I know there is an Ocean of Tears to follow…soon enough. Do you still meet on Tuesday’s, if so , when, where? ALSO, any classes during the day? THE LAST ONE, which may sound a little Silly to Some, yet to me is very important, do you supply chairs?? wITH THE RECENT SURGERY, i find it, impossible to get my body up and down into the lotus position, any position for that matter…lol So, a chair, which I thought at one time, (judgements) I would never use, is now very important to this gal.!!
Kindly forward your comments at your earliest convenience.
Again, my deepest thanks for helping me, to help guide me towards my first step towards healing. It is for sure, your sitting group that my Heart needs. I hope not to hit the delete button this time around.
Metta,
Janine Symington
