Special Teaching with Ayya Medhanandi
Please join us to meditate with and receive teaching from Ayya Medhanandi was born in Canada in 1949. She lived as a nun for several years in India, under the guidance of an Advaita sage who remained her teacher until his death some thirteen years later. Ayya Medhanandi was ordained with Sayadaw U Pandita. She joined the Amaravati Nuns’ Community and spent ten years under the tutelage of Ajahn Sumedho. In 1999, she went to New Zealand as a part of the wider Sangha of Bodhinyanarama Monastery where she lived in a small hermitage on the Kapiti Coast. She spent last year travelling and teaching in both India and North America.
